Water Operations & Resources Manager
Position’s Primary Purpose:
- Oversee all aspects of the District’s Water Operations, from daily orders through the monthly billing cycle. Assist customer base with all District programs and coordinate any improvements needed to facilitate metering and delivery needs. Assist GM with District Water Resource activities, including supplemental supply programs and related environmental documentation, surface and groundwater management programs, long-term irrigated lands program, and compliance with local/state/federal laws and regulations.

- The ability to organize job duties and prioritize in order to meet deadlines
- The ability to communicate professionally, both verbally and in written form
- The ability to “get along”, but still implement policies and procedures consistently
- The ability to train and supervise a non-management staffer
- The ability to work as a team, and communicate regularly with GM
- The ability to problem solve, but also to seek assistance and take direction
Trained Skills Needed to Deliver “A” Outcomes:
- Equipment operation helpful (example: tractors, forklift, etc)
- Above-average computer skills – Microsoft Office, Internet, Google Earth, databases
- Knowledge of California Water System
- Knowledge of production Agriculture
Education/Experience Needed to Deliver “A” Outcomes:
Required: College Degree in related field
Desirable :Ag Engineer preferred, but not mandatory
